Project Cashmere

This was the first AWD e30 I ever owned, its my daily driver and my favorite of them all. So I decided to give her a little bit of love. Started with some rust repair. I have about 5 80s body kits to choose from for this car, but most of them are for euro bumpered early models :(

So I will end up using the Kamei x1 kit that I have (spoilers, skirts, valances)

How she started

Lots of body damage on this side, got it all fixed and clean though

Found my self a BBS front valance :)

Started rebuilding some front axles with new OEM boots

Picked this up off ebay for 100$ shipped, huge change in handling (not my car in the picture)

Have a turbo system that I have been working on for about 2 years now... Its not very far, but I only need a few more parts. My goal was to make a clean, stock looking turbo system that will run great even in the -20 degree winters here. Im using a 524td turbo log with a cast wastgate "riser". super 60 ford turbo, and a small air/water intercooler. Here are a few of the pictures on my spare 2.7ix block

Hope to push around 6psi from this turbo to keep from breaking parts.

You definitely have your own style and it's going to be great to watch the transformation from midly-rusty, totally stock, to modified rally machine :D

Made myself a trailer hitch for it out of random VW passat hitches.

Original hitch says its rated for 2500lbs, I made it a bit stronger, so I am guessing about 3000lbs load now. Perfect to tow a small trailer, or camper of some kind.
